Corn

Corn. Gentle fractional technology for the production of strong seeds.

Corn seeds are large. Large seeds of any crop are more susceptible to injury than small ones. Injury to corn seeds manifests itself both in plant development (in the initial phase) and in its productivity.

Now about the size. Seed size is important for corn. This is clearly visible in the following diagram of the dependence of corn yield on the weight of 1000 seeds of the seed and on the sowing depth:

It is clear that the larger seeds win. But, as it turns out, the shape of the achene also plays a significant role in corn. Let's take an ear of corn. Flat seeds are located in the middle of the cob. They are usually equal in size. The bottom and top of the cob are formed later than the middle. At the bottom of the cob, the seeds are large and have a round shape. At the top of the cob the seeds are small.

Research confirms that seeds from the middle of the cob are more productive.

This is also confirmed when comparing the field germination of injured and whole seeds:

The technology we have developed and implemented allows us to carefully (without injuring) select exceptionally STRONG SEEDS from corn seeding material, which will ensure uniform germination and growth of disease-resistant plants and high yields.
